National Trucking Fleet Cuts Fuel Costs and Emissions with Advanced Diesel Fuel Injectors

2026-07-16

TransHorizon Logistics, one of the largest long-haul trucking fleets in North America, has completed a large-scale upgrade of its diesel engines with next-generation precision fuel injectors.

The new injectors deliver more accurate fuel atomization and timing control, resulting in measurable improvements in combustion efficiency. Early data from more than 1,200 upgraded tractors show an average fuel-economy gain of 6–8% and a noticeable reduction in particulate and NOx emissions during real-world highway operations.

“Fuel is our single largest operating expense,” said fleet operations director Carlos Mendez. “These diesel fuel injectors have given us a clear return on investment through lower consumption and fewer derates caused by incomplete combustion. Reliability has also improved across the board.”

TransHorizon plans to complete the remaining fleet conversion by early 2027 and is evaluating similar injector technology for its regional delivery vehicles.
